21st February
On this 21st February, AUW Laboratory School solemnly observed International Mother Language Day by revisiting the historic Language Movement of 1952.
Through a special projector presentation, our students explored the courageous struggle of the martyrs who stood fearlessly to protect their right to speak in their mother tongue. They learned how the sacrifices of that day shaped our national identity and ultimately led to the recognition of Bangla as a state language.
The session was more than a history lesson it was a reminder that language carries the soul of a nation. The events of 1952 teach us that dignity, identity, and culture are deeply rooted in the words we speak.
We honor the martyrs of the Language Movement and reaffirm our commitment to preserving and respecting linguistic heritage because every nation has its own mother tongue, and each one deserves equal respect.
