Chemistry Session
Dr. Ahmedul Kabir, Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Asian University for Women, conducted an inspiring chemistry session at AUW Laboratory School, bringing university-level insight directly into the school classroom.He began with a fundamental question “What matters?” and guided students through the composition, properties, and changes of matter. From the story of the Big Bang to atoms, elements, chemical reactions, and molecular bonds, the session transformed complex scientific ideas into an engaging narrative.
Through a simple yet powerful demonstration observing how water changes colour when tea leaves are added students witnessed chemical change in action. The learning deepened as they built molecular bond shapes themselves, experiencing hands-on scientific exploration with enthusiasm and curiosity.
